The scanner measures the highest product point in each box and records the box dimensions in real time.

All scan data is stored and grouped by box size. Over time, a rich dataset builds capturing real packing patterns.

Software analyzes the dataset to calculate optimal box heights using percentile breakdowns (80%, 90%, 95%, 100%).

The SmartFill Optimizer mounts above the packing line, either as a standalone unit or integrated directly into an existing packing station. At each scan, it captures two measurements: the height of the tallest product in the box and the total internal height of the box itself.
Boxes of identical dimensions are automatically grouped together. Results are displayed in percentile format directly on the unit’s screen, showing precisely how much headspace exists across the full range of packing scenarios.
