Anti-Static film are also known as ESD film ( Electrostatic Discharge ) is a special kind of plastic that helps stop static electricity from building up. This is important because too much static can damage electronic things while shipping.
4 main categories of ESD films.
- Isolation 1016 to 1011 Ohm
- Antistatic 1011 to 109 Ohm
- Dissipative 109 to 104 Ohm
- Conductive <104 (metallized films)
